My Boys: Fourth of July

We starting preparing to leave the house yesterday around 9am and it only took slightly more than an hour (amazing! - it looked like we were leaving for a week!) to load up and hit the road for West Ashley for the pool party. The kids were geared up and ready to play. Play they did... for 8 HOURS! Lukas literally played in that pool for 8 hours. Beckman took breaks and laid in the rocks and dirt for various amounts of time. We all had such a great time! The recovery has moved into today. We had a surprise birthday party (for an adult) and the boys were so whacked out. We knew going into it, but hey.. sometimes you just do what you gotta do. We all survived.. the boys are fast asleep, and I'm headed that way too.

Our plans were to go to the beach tomorrow, but after 8 hours of swimming and jumping off the diving board... Lukas' toes are like open sores. All the kids had the same problem.

The nine year old girls took a liking to Lukas. They thought he was 'so cute' and he ate it up. He told me he got a big kiss from Gracie and Emily. Not small...reallyyyyy big. What a hoot! Then, today he told me Beckman was sooo cute. Gotta love it! Gracie is always so sweet to him, but he hadn't met Emily before. They would take turns getting in the big floatie chair with him. Then they decided that all three of them would be together.
