Light Display

We started out the week by heading to the Festival of Lights. It is in the James Island County Park. We drove and looked at the 3 miles of light displays (yes, 3 miles!), rode the train, walked around, had hot chocolate, and looked at Santa from a distance (b/c there were about 5 billion in line). We even saw three deer while we were in there. They were probably scared to death with all those people and lights etc.

Lukas favorite part was the hot chocolate. He told me he was having a coffee break. I'm not sure where he got that, b/c I never say that. It was pretty funny. Beckman was sort of a handful, but we all had a good time. I have to say that after a train ride of lights, and two miles of lights...the last mile is sort of 'whatever'. It is a tradition for us to go and we will never miss it. The best part is watching the kids get so excited. It is magical to experience Christmas with Lukas. Beckman is so fun too, but he is still not totally getting it (of course at 2, that is to be expected)
